How to make Marbled Spiced Fig Loaf Soap

YOU WILL NEED:

• 2KG Crystal Oatmeal & Shea or Crystal Shea base
• Spiced Fig Fragrance Oil
• Purple pigment powder
• Glycerin
• Alcohol spray
• Loaf mould

Unbox the Crystal Oatmeal and Shea, and chop into small chunks, around 1 inch square. Place in a microwavable container.

STEP 2

Melt the base in a microwave for 3 minutes, then in 30 second blasts until melted throughout.

STEP 3

Meanwhile, mix the purple pigment with a little glycerin. This helps the pigment disperse better in the soap base and avoids speckling!

STEP 4

Separate the melted soap base into two containers, and mix the pigment/glycerin mixture into one of the containers.

STEP 5

Cut two small rectangles from sturdy cardboard, and place into a soap loaf mould, holding securely to create a seal. Spray the mould well. Pour the purple base into the middle section and white into the other two sections.

STEP 6

Remove the dividers, and gently swirl the colours together for a short time. This step can get messy, so ensure you have a protective covering on your workspace.

STEP 7

Allow the soap loaf the set overnight. When set, slice into the desired size.
